Meeting#6 - *Activity Jr - Find three different types of Grasses/Legumes you can use in your feeding program bring in examples *Activity Sr - Is your horse lacking in Minerals? What vitamins/minerals would be a beneficial addition to your program? What do you already feed? HOMEWORK FOR 2015 Meeting #1 Light Horse Word Scramble Meeting # 2 Choose a picture of a Draft horse at work and a Light horse at work and compare 4 points as to why the draft is better suited to the job it is doing compared to the job the light horse is doing and why the light horse is better suited to his job then the draft horse. Meeting #3 Document 5 signs of interaction with your horses teach them something new or observe their signs. Learn to read your horse. (Optional Meeting) - Think of what kind of project you would like to do for the year and begin brain storming ideas. Meeting #4 Find a piece of safety equipment that you use on a regular basis. Bring it in for roll call and explain a few reasons why this piece of equipment is important for your safety. Document and hand it in. Meeting #5 Work on your showmanship and document a log of your practice sessions. What you worked on etc. 5 points of things you worked on. Meeting #6 Find three pictures of horses of the same breed and judge the conformation on each of them. Place them in the order you think is best giving proper reasons. Use terminology and proper documentation.
